Hoyas love bright light and higher humidity.  While they thrive in higher humidity, they also thankfully tolerate the softer, filtered light and lower humidity of  the indoors.  They will grow in lower light situations but it’s unlikely they will bloom. 

For the fastest growth, and bold splashes of color they are often know for, be sure to keep them in a very well draining potting mix, water regularly, keep them in an area with higher humidity, and give them bright light during the growing season.

Potting soil with good air circulation around the roots is very important for Hoya.  Hoya like to be pot-bound or crowded in their pots. They often will only need to be repotted every two or three years.

Water regularly spring through summer. Let the top layer of soil dry between watering. In the fall and winter growth naturally slows down and they won’t use as much water. Water sparingly during fall and winter, give them just enough that the soil doesn’t dry out completely.
