Philodendron Pluto, is a species of plant in the family Araceae, native to Central and South America and the Caribbean.

While it can survive in low light conditions your philodendron will bright, filtered light. Too much direct sun will cause leaf burn.

Water about once a week and allow the top 2-3 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Avoid overwatering, and note that your watering schedule may be less frequent during winter months. Philodendrons can tolerate being a little underwatered vs. overwatered. 

These plants like a rich, somewhat chunky soil mix with a good dose of peat that drains well. You don’t want the roots to stay too wet otherwise they’ll rot.

They are toxic to both dogs and cats if ingested. Symptoms of philodendron poisoning include oral irritation, swelling, vomiting, trouble breathing, and excessive drooling.
