As with other types of Hoya plants, the Crassipetiolata enjoys very bright indirect light, only being able to tolerate a few hours of direct sun a day. Hoyas prefer to dry out throughly between watering, allowing the soil to dry out fully before giving it another drink. The Crassipetiolata is known for its lime-colored leaves and distinct veining.
