The Scindapsus Pictus Exotica requires care similar to the very common Epipremnum Pothos houseplant.  Both are part of the Aroid family tree, and they both prefer medium to bright indirect light. 

It's our opinion that it's best for the silver variety scindapsus plants to void direct sunlight to avoid burning the leaves. 

There are a few very similar varieties of the Scindapsus "silver" family, such as Silver Satin, Silver Ann, Exotica, and Silver Splash to name a few.  Comparing leaf sizes and the amount silver coloring on the leaves are 2 ways to try to distinguish the many varieties.  Both Exotica and Silver Splash varieties have leaves on the larger side. 
 
Like most pothos variety plants, the scindapsus variety plant also prefers for its soil to be on the dry side. Water only when the top several inches of soil has dried out.  Leaf curling is a sign of a thirsty plant. 

The an easy growing medium for these plants is a blend of equal parts of houseplant soil and perlite to help increase drainage.
